Promising news for Armenia’s growing biotech sector!
SASTIC is proud to support the establishment of the Bioinformatics Core Facility (BCF) at the Armenian Bioinformatics Institute (ABI).
The new facility aims to strengthen Armenia’s biotechnology and research ecosystem by providing advanced bioinformatics services and expertise to both academic laboratories and biotech companies.
Going beyond standard data analysis, the BCF will offer research-focused solutions, interactive data reports, and expert consultation, helping scientists and innovators transform complex biological data into actionable insights.
This initiative represents an important step toward building sustainable infrastructure for life sciences in Armenia, empowering local researchers, fostering innovation, and positioning Armenia as a regional player in biotechnology and computational biology.
SASTIC continues to back initiatives that combine science, technology, and innovation to create long-term impact for Armenia.
We are thrilled to announce that SASTIC has signed a Grant Agreement with the Armenian Bioinformatics Institute (ABI) to support their mission of promoting research in the fields of Bioinformatics and Genomics, as well as quality teaching of the Bioinformatics and the related fields at Armenian educational institutions.
ABI’s mission is to train the next generation of experts who will play a crucial role in advancing precision medicine and biotechnology. ABI focuses on both research and educational activities, partnering with industry to drive economic impact.
With the support of SASTIC ABI will acquire a computer server to enlarge their research capacity. A new infrastructure with larger memory and computing power will support ABI’s mission to create unprecedented opportunities for students, researchers, and bioinformaticians leading to better education, quality research, an improved economy, and eventually, a better future.
